What We Offer

In a world that increasingly isolates men from one another and from their faith, the Catholic Men's Fellowship of the Diocese of Youngstown stands as a beacon of brotherhood, purpose, and spiritual transformation.

We believe that strong parish-level communities of men, connected to a diocese-wide organization, create stronger, more involved, and more faith-driven men in their families, parishes, and lives.

Four Pillars of Men's Ministry

WORSHIP We place Christ at the center through the Mass, Eucharistic Adoration, and prayer. Our spiritual foundation is built on fostering authentic encounters with the living God.

FELLOWSHIP We create spaces where men can be vulnerable, share their struggles, and find genuine brotherhood. Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another (Proverbs 27:17).

SERVICE Faith without works is dead. We encourage men to serve our parishes, families, and communities, putting our faith into action through concrete acts of charity and leadership.

FORMATION We provide ongoing spiritual and personal development, equipping men with the tools, knowledge, and courage to live as authentic Catholic men in today's world.

Building Parish-Level Communities

The strength of the Catholic Men's Fellowship lies in its parish-level groups—small communities where men meet regularly, pray together, support one another, and grow in faith. These local groups are the lifeblood of our movement, where real transformation happens.

Each parish group maintains its unique character while connecting to the broader diocese-wide network, providing:

  • Monthly gatherings for prayer, formation, and fellowship

  • Accountability partnerships and mentorship relationships

  • Service opportunities within the parish and community

  • Access to diocese-wide events, conferences, and resources

  • Connection with hundreds of Catholic men across six counties

“What Makes a Man Strong?”

Most of us were taught that being strong means handling it ourselves. We keep our heads down, carry the load, and don't let anyone see us struggle. That works for a while, until it doesn't.

Fr. Furlong, Chaplain at Walsh University and Sacramental Minister at St. Michael the Archangel Parish in Canton, makes the case that real strength isn't carrying everything alone. It means relying on God, asking forgiveness, and letting trusted men walk beside you.

The evening includes a meal, prayer, and the talk. All men of the diocese are welcome, young and old. Walsh students, this one is for you too.

The Annual Men's Conference

Catholic Man Night is one evening. The Annual Men's Conference is a full day of it: men from every corner of the Diocese of Youngstown coming together to worship, hear strong speakers, and leave better equipped to lead their families and parishes.

The Power of Intergenerational Community

One of our core convictions is that men of all ages need each other. Young men bring energy, fresh perspectives, and challenging questions that prevent faith from becoming stagnant. Older men contribute wisdom, institutional memory, and lived examples of faithfulness through difficult seasons.

Our goals include creating opportunities for:

  • Single men to discover role models of authentic masculinity and virtue

  • Young fathers to find mentors who've successfully navigated marriage and family life

  • Middle-aged men gain perspective from those who've walked ahead

  • Older men find purpose in passing down decades of spiritual wisdom

This reciprocal mentoring creates a vibrant community where wisdom flows freely and every man, regardless of age, has essential gifts to share.
